The break week in short. More like the freak week for me! omg. lOlx..
1st we have a crane falling.. then we have a terrorist escaping..
hahas.
On top of that, I have alot to cover and lil time to cover.. I had 2 go to skoo for tutorial.. and from the looks of it (the deck & the central lib), it's as if it's a schoOl day.. !!!!
And because I had a curfew to sleep by 12+.. i didn't have the opportunity to blog..
but a couple of things worthy to note: I watched the korean movie "A Season for Love"..happen to catch it on cable tv...it's sweet & touching & made up of stars i'm familiar with.
Its the kind of movie that's peaceful and romantic.. as i curled up in front of the TV at 2am.. If it was drizzling outside with a coOl breeze, it'll make the atmosphere more tranquil lOlx.
and another by Jackie Chan & Kim Hee Sun "The Myth" It's not that fantastic but they have amazing scenery & lead actress lOlx.
And Jackie's house was soO coOl! It's a 'open concept' ship that's docked near the harbour. However, it's scary to imagine if someone did swallow the Immortality Pill/ invented the Pill during the Qin dynasty, they could've lived for centuries! (that's how Jackie Chan got to meet his lover from lifetimes ago when he was a great general)
I also watched "Kite Runner" with my soci lecture mates.. Nice movie toO...kinda sad tho.. It's moving because the characters and storyline seem so real (the movie ain't dramatize) which you don really see in movies/ drama these days.
Alrights. good luck to everyone on tests, assignments & projects! The worst ain't over. lOlx.

london bridge is falling down..
like london bridge is falling down.. OMG.
only when shawn sms-ed then i realised how catastrophic it was earlier in the day.. 3 pple died at the construction site near business faculty (i tink) opposite the arts canteen.
apparently, it was a bustling afternoOn at the deck.. yeuai and i chose the garden view.. and while we were eating & chatting..suddenly "BOM"
our heads turned and we saw the white crane falling down step by step as if it was in slow motion; like a person going down on his knees and finally sprawling on the ground.. the sound wasn't deafening but the visual effect was horror...cos it was my 1st time seeing smth so huge toppling down like a piece of lego.
the minute the 1st signal "BOM" happened, everyone inside the canteen rushed to see wad the hell went wrong..it was so big & so obvious no one around that area could fail to notice.
then again i realized how we always fail to take extra caution of signs tt tell us to stay away from construction site cos it'll never be safe.. now it's really happened and even the yellow helmet will not be able to protect your life.

a bunch of randoms
alright before i say anything else.. Lydia Shum Din-Ha otherwise known as Fei Fei, a HK comedian and actress known for her size and black rimmed glasses passed away today @ 8.38am.
OMG.
and thereafter, i see a trail of issues..
1. Thousands of reporters were hogging the hospital entrance as well as the ward entrance. When her daughter came out, tons of mics and cameras were thrust into her face, every single one trying to get 1st hand news. HELLO!! Her mum just died! Do you all have any sympathy???
They followed her all the way to the lift, kept taking pictures of her and answering a string of questions that all u can hear were buzzing noises.
Despite saying they feel her death and everything, all i see the newspapers and media clamouring for attention on cover page which I personally feel is revolting.
2. When the hosts of the tribute program on TVB8 wondered how her daughter is going to cope from now on , my mother came with a terrible reply like " Of course she can cope...got property and inheritance"
OMG! Now it seems a person's death is an economical issue! I was quite disturbed by that comment because I'm sure the hosts were wondering how her daughter is going to cope with the loss of her mother, her best friend and someone who stood by her all these years. If I'm her, this is of course devastating and no amount of $$ in the world can bring your loved one back. Plus, she's sort of brought up in a single parent environment..the blow is doubled.
oOkie. now back to what i orginally wanna blog about. Had my psy lecture ytd soO more psy stuff here!

Although certain expressions are universal (like happy, angry, sad, surprised)...there are other cultures that have expressions tt seem totally bizarre to us lOlx.

CNY
Spent my cny hol @ my relatives & sx's uncle's hse..
Visiting my relatives was rather fun esp when we had my niece to play.. she's really bright is able to do 'adult talk'... lOlx.
And she looks very cute when she wears these lil halter dresses~!

Tammy even sang & danced to alot of songs including Barney songs (which is sadly her favourite)...omg tt ugly crocodile-saurus lOlx. Apparently when we play Barney's I Love You..she will start hugging pple lOlx.

Of course nobody does it better & has more enthusiasm than Aloysius the self proclaimed gorgeous who wanted to make use of wind effect to do his shots...HAHA. toO bad the hair didn't make it work for him~ Anyways, sx's uncle's hse was really an eye opener. OMG!!! hahas..it's long and high and complicating (in a 'wow but who cares if it's complex' way) It's actually a 3 storey house.. but if u count properly...it's like 5 storeys *gasp*

HAPPY CNY 2008!
lotsa stuff i wanna tok abt but nahx.. in conclusion had social psy tutorial where mylecturer instructed a few students (discreetly) to pose as someone deviant.. soO we had one who was dressed like a gothic lolita and replaces "I" with "Sophie" whenever she's talking..
"Sophie thinks this card has special signifiance etc.." lOlx.
and there was another malay boy who came in with headphone on his ears the whole time during lesson...and in fact, he was actually listening to the music the whole time before the lecturer 'exposed' them lOlx.
had steamboat & yusheng with the good loOking clique~ gossip was spilling all over the conversation & shawn said we always talk about sex.. but i feel we always talk about the word "sex" and not the topic itself..soo not counted bahx..hahas. we even had sixiang on the phone when we laO yusheng omg. hahas..
for our visit to sx's uncle's house, vicki and I tot of Chomp chomp foOd delivery or perhaps sushi for dinner or smth.
HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR TO ALL~! btw, if any friends wanna bai nian, my house is free on fri (2nd day of new yr)!!

my traditional diary entries
oh crap. i realise i have 2 read a thick reading tml for my social psy tut... i have no mood. i'll jus leave it to the journey to skoO..lOlx. apart from that, we're told to bring smth that is meaningful to us.
oOkie..after much considerations, i've decided to bring my oldest diary (yes the REAL one, not chervil lOlx.) to represent the 4 diaries i've owned so far and well because i've been doing diaries from the past 1 1 yrs! OMG... i was 9yrs old then.
hahas..soO as a treat to my faithful readers of my blog.. i've decided to put 3 entries from my oldest diary that i wrote when i was 9 till 14yrs And it's gonna be the exact thing in the actual diary..ENJOY!

Entry 1: 24/7/98 (9+ yrs old)
Today is Nafa test! I was very shocked when I came in 3rd for the running and timing 9.30. Joanna and Qiu Yi are very jealous because they were always faster than me. I know people can change when they want to get gold for running. My timing is A and I don't care whether they gossip me or not because as long as I got good marks, I will be pleased. Diary, I shall stopped here. Bye!
7/6/99 (10+ yrs old) Everyone in my family wants me to do errands for them only once in a while but they did not. They treated me as if I was the maid and can't let other do only me. I also to do this do that, can't they do it themselves? They even threaten me for some other things if I don't do this. Only one word is in their mind. The word is LAZY! I can't believe it. Heaven will punish them! What to do, Diary?
12/1/00 (11+yrs old) Dear Diary, School reopens! New millenium! That was great! Oops, too many exclaimation marks. I am so happy to be back in school. I have lost my exercise book today. I cried for 10 mins over it. I do not know why I cry over such a matter. Maybe because of puberty. I had quite a good day at zoo. It rains on the way home but I was comforted by some funny programme and Star Awards. You must have been bored that I didn't write to you, but I like you because you are willing to listen to my joys and sorrow. Diary, I shall stop here. Byeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!
